“Missing Verses and Lucifer is Jesus??!!”
First of all, I want to say that this is difficult message to bring to my brothers and sisters in Christ. But not only are we supposed to encourage and edify each other, we should also warn each other of deception.
Think on this: If the Constitution was “translated” into various modern versions so that more people could “understand it” would we still think that we are holding to the original words of the forefathers of this country??
Now, of course, the constitution has been amended, but at least we know which words were amended!
So why are we okay, with the inspired words of our Heavenly Father being changed into a version “we can understand?”
*The following is just a few taken from http://www.chick.com/information/Bibleversions/comparison.asp
KING JAMES VERSION v. NEW INTERNATIONAL VERSION
Why did Jesus come to earth?
KJV–Luke 9:56: For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.
NIV–Luke 9:56: and they went to another village.
KJV–Matt. 18:11: For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.
NIV– Matt. 18:11: (missing)
Is repentance important?
KJV– Matt. 9:13:…I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
NIV–Matt. 9:13: …I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.
Was Joseph really the father of Jesus?
KJV– Luke 2:33: And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him.
NIV– Luke 2:33: The child’s father and mother marveled at what was said about him.
What about forgiveness?
KJV– Mark 11:26: But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
NIV—Mark 11:26: (missing)
Yes, you saw it right, there are even WHOLE VERSES MISSING!!! Important ones at that! There’s a lot more missing (click here). Also, this is NOT JUST the NIV–again, check the other versions or the modern versions you own.
Now people, these arent “donkey”-to-“mule” or a “straw”-to-“hay” changes here, something isn’t right….then lo and behold…
The NIV calls Lucifer, “Jesus” ??!
the following article from http://www.jesus-is-lord.com/nivsatan.htm
(1) Just about everybody knows the word “Lucifer” as another name for Satan. The word “Lucifer” is found one time in the King James Bible.
Isaiah 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
(2) But what about the NIV? The word “Lucifer” is clean, bald-headed gone and now this creature is identified as the “morning star”. Lucifer is the “morning star” in the NIV.
How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!
(3) So we know that in the NIV the “morning star” is a negative, evil figure. Right? He was fallen from heaven. He was cast down to the earth. Can we find the “morning star” anywhere else in the NIV? Yes! The following passages in the NIV show the “morning star” as Jesus Christ! But the NIV just called the fallen creature of Isaiah 14:12 “morning star”. Lucifer AND Jesus are ONE in the NIV! Lord have mercy, Jesus! Help me, Lord.
NIV: Revelation 22:16,
“I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.”
NIV: 2 Peter 1:19,
And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.
NIV: Revelation 2:28–
I will also give him the morning star.
If any of you have read my previous blog, Creation: The Clearly Seen Invisible…..there is NO WAY I would have received the some of the revelations I received in the creation story if I would have read the modern versions. There are certain symbols in Genesis that reoccur in the New Testament. For example, grass has special meaning in both the Old & New Testament [Matt. 6:30; 1Pet. 1:24; James 1: 11; Rev. 8:7], but the NIV, NASB, ESV, & NLT refer to the “grass” as “vegetation” in Genesis 1:11-12 when God clearly was not talking about “vegetation.” Also, I would have definitely been thrown off while studying The Son & The Moon if I would’ve read the NIV, which calls Lucifer “the morning star.” Not to mention, the greater light and lesser light in Genesis 1:16 is referred to as the “larger one and smaller one” in the NLT; therefore, I would have never made the connection between Jesus being a ~greater~ light represented by the sun, nor would I have known that the creation story had referenced Jesus at all.
Overall these modern versions contain more than minor changes to make the Bible “easier to understand;” they interfere with major aspects of the gospel, as well as the deeper meaning of God’s Word.
In case you’re thinking, “Well the New King James Version is alright, isn’t it?…the only thing they took out was the archaic language….” Think again. Stay tuned…
In His Love,
